DON'T CELL OUT

CHERRY HILLS!

SAY NO TO 100-FOOT MACRO CELL TOWERS NEAR OUR HOMES, SCHOOLS, AND PARKS

While other cities are adding small 5G transponders to telephone poles and light posts, CHV is considering installing 100' macro cell towers next to schools, homes, and beloved open spaces.

Contact City Council to oppose this plan.

A Tower is Coming to

a Location Near You

Our beautiful parks, our home values, and our health are facing a threat. The city is considering installing three 100-foot macro cell phone towers right in our cherished green spaces. These towers will mar the scenic beauty of our open spaces and disrupt the tranquility and natural environment we all love.

Yes, we want better cell coverage, but not at the cost of our property values, open spaces, and health.

There are other options for improving coverage. Contact City Council to let them know how you feel about this proposal.

We're Asking City Council to:

1). Delay a ballot measure on this proposal until after residents’ questions about the towers’ effects on parks, wildlife, property values, and safety have been answered.

2). Set up a citizens’ committee to explore less extreme options for improving coverage and ensure that the public thoroughly understands this proposal.

The First (3) Proposed Locations:

By Cherry Hills Elementary
(Quincy and University)
Woodie Hollow Park
(By residents' homes & park)
3 Ponds Park
(Next to Canal Path & Colo. Blvd)

How Tall is 100 Feet?

The city is considering leasing space in each of the three parks to a cell tower company. The leases will include three 2500 square-foot fenced areas to contain the equipment and macro towers. The construction and maintenance processes will require the use of heavy-duty cranes and other industrial equipment.

Our Parks Serve an Important Purpose

On July 13th, Quincy Farms hosted the Denver Audubon Society for an educational program in Woodie Hollow Park attended by about 30 children. Our open space serves as an important part of our community, engaging our children in nature and allowing them to explore and just be kids  in a rural place within Denver.

Our parks and open spaces also serve as an important attraction for potential residents, supporting CHV's strong property values and appeal to families.
